Child Vaccinations Explained

Ideally, kids should have their jabs at the right age to protect them as early as possible and minimise the risk of infection.

Find out here which jabs your child needs, when they need them, and what the benefits of each jab are. One of the most important things that a parent can do for their child is to make sure that they have all their routine childhood vaccinations. It's the most effective way of keeping them protected against infectious diseases.

The vaccines for kids
All about the childhood vaccines that your child should get:

Routine vaccinations:
a) DTaP/IPV/Hib or 5-in-1 vaccine
b) PCV
c) Meningitis C
d) Hib/Men C
e) MMR
f) Pre-school booster

If you’re not sure whether you or your child have had all your vaccinations, ask your practice nurse.

The checklist above is set out to give children the best chance of developing immunity against common diseases safely and effectively, and doing it early enough to minimise their risk of catching these diseases
